- Open WhatsApp AI Assistant
Go to WhatsApp AI Assistant in the sidebar. First time in, you'll see an activation screen. Premium plans activate it free with one click; Testing, Starter, and Pro plans pay a one-time ₦25,000 fee debited from the main wallet — confirm to unlock the builder.
- Define the assistant's persona
Open Bot configuration. Set the persona / system prompt — this is the voice the bot uses. Add a welcome message, a fallback message for unanswerable questions, and business hours with an after-hours reply.
- Decide how products are shared
Toggle Share products on if you want the bot to send product links. Pick a checkout mode: storefront link, bank transfer, or both. If you accept transfers, paste your bank instructions.
- Add intake questions
Under Intake questions, add the questions the bot asks new customers (e.g. "What category are you shopping for?", "Any budget in mind?"). The answers help the bot recommend the right products.
- Add FAQs and group links
In FAQs, add question/answer pairs the bot will use to reply to common queries. In Group links, paste WhatsApp group invites and set keywords that trigger the bot to share them.
- Train the assistant on your documents (Knowledge base)
Under Knowledge base, upload PDFs, DOCX, TXT or CSV files — or paste a URL — for your returns policy, shipping terms, warranty, product manuals, etc. The assistant embeds each document and quotes from it when a customer asks a related question.
- Set follow-ups and handoffs
Toggle Follow-ups on to nudge customers later. Add steps with delay hours and message templates (you can use
{customer_name}and{business_name}). Under Handoff triggers, list keywords like "talk to agent" that route a chat to a human. - Connect your WhatsApp Business number
Scroll to Connect your WhatsApp Business number and click Connect with WhatsApp. A Facebook popup opens — log in, pick the WhatsApp Business number you want the assistant to use, and click Allow. Boombiz handles the webhook and access token behind the scenes. (If the button shows Coming soon, open Advanced setup and follow the manual webhook + access token flow instead.)
