Run a production batch
Set up raw materials, recipes, and orders to make products in-house.
Set up raw materials, recipes, and orders to make products in-house.
Production turns raw materials into finished stock. Set up materials and recipes once, and every batch you run after that flows through Boombiz automatically.
- Open Production
Go to Production in the sidebar. The dashboard shows active batches, efficiency, material wastage and your current raw-material value, plus low-stock alerts.
- Add your raw materials
Click Manage raw materials. Add each material with its unit (kg, litre, pcs), current stock and low-stock threshold. Boombiz alerts you when stock drops below the threshold.
- Build a recipe (BOM)
Click Build a recipe (BOM) and pick the finished product. Add each raw material the recipe needs and the quantity per unit produced. This is what Boombiz uses to deduct materials automatically when you run a batch.
- Start a production batch
Click Start a production batch, pick the product, and enter the target quantity. Boombiz reserves the right amount of every material from the BOM.
- Record output and rejections
As production progresses, update produced quantity and rejections on the order. Finished stock is added to your product inventory; rejections are logged so you can see wastage trends.
- Close the order
When the batch is done, mark the order Completed. Check the raw-material activity log to confirm deductions look right, then head back to the dashboard for the next batch.
